AiCore” for AI Logistic Scheduling and Transport Monitoring of Prefabricated Building Modules Manufactured Offsite for Just-in-Time and Safe Onsite Assembly

The invention, AiCore, is the first Agentic Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) system for planning and managing offsite modular construction logistics. Fully tested and implemented in Hong Kong Housing Authority’s public housing projects, AiCore fundamentally transforms the off-site construction logistics operations with self-coordinated, timely, and safe deliveries.

Why Offsite Building Module Manufacturing?

Challenges in Offsite Logistics

The proposed invention: AiCore

An innovative AiCore system is proposed to enable dynamic construction, real-time scheduling, accurate arrival estimation, and proactive vibration alerts. AiCore harnesses the power of Agentic Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), integrating autonomous AI agents with our award-winning iCore IoT infrastructure.

How does AiCore works?

(a) Data collecting AIOT set

A front-end AIoT set attached to an offsite construction module collects signals including timestamp, GPS, humidity, and vibration. This AIoT set is developed from our early award-winning i-Core but is much more advanced in its millisecond-level sensing interval, local memory for data storage, longer battery life and support for external power banks, and reduced size.

(b) Central AiCore Server

A smart Server as the core intelligence. It leverages MARL to enable dynamic offsite construction, real-time scheduling, and autonomous coordination. The trained MARL model processes incoming AIoT data to perform truck route optimizations (considering load, height, road risks), accurate arrival time predictions for multiple trucks (with real-time traffic, weather), and generate the autonomous control signals for the fleet.

(c) Agentic Mobile App

An Agentic AI-assisted mobile App installed in drivers’ cell phones. Trained through MARL, the in-house agent takes the AIoT set signals and server commands, to (1) benchmark the vibration threshold and give proper alerts to drivers; (2) refer to the arrival time predictions to inform the delivery of modules to inform the onsite installation; and (3) coordinate with other agents to ensure the timely delivery of multiple modules automatically.

(d) Agentic Dashboard

A web-based dashboard for overall monitoring by decision makers or project leaders.
